”The was a gutter loose on my husband’s shop. The gutter had been loosened during the 2008-2009 snow storms. One day recently the pins/stakes/what ever they are called that hold the gutters on had several come out. This made all the rain water run to the center of the gutter and then made horrible collection of water on the ground. The collection of rain/water was almost to the level of going over the slab of the shop and into the shop. Dave came out and was very gracious. Dave hammered the pins in and cleaned out my maple leaves and the end results were wonderful. ” Star Roofing & Construction replaced our old cedar roof with Certainteed Presidential Tri-Laminate roofing shingles. We got 4 estimates and Star Roofing was in the middle of the lowest and highest bidder. The lowest bidder was know for taking a very long time to complete work, so we decided to pay a little more and get the job done in a timely manner. Star Roofing began the job on August 7, and completed it by August 11. We also chose Star because they are certified by Certainteed as Shingle Masters, which means they are trained and authorized to install the Certainteed Presidential Tri-Laminate shingles with Certainteed’s lifetime warranty. The roofing crew worked long hours each day and cleaned up every evening. They didn’t damage any of our numerous plants. The new roof looks great. We are very happy with the job they did and how much better our home looks.”

We sincerely believe that Star Roofing should be the first call made when needing a new roof. Several things about this company impressed us — from the first call we placed to inquire about their services to the clean-up when the job was complete to the final inspection. Everyone (from the owner to the estimator to the office staff) was not only professional but extremely responsive to our questions and needs. They didn’t try to sell us add-ons that we didn’t need but would have added substantially to the cost; they simply recommended precisely what met our needs, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome — the color, the quality of workmanship and roofing materials, the care the roofing crew took to protect our plantings and walkways from falling debris, the steady pace they maintained from start to finish, and the impeccable clean-up — all exceeded our expectations. This is the second time that we had to replace a roof, and we were amazed to find the crew laying down tarps around the perimeter of the house to make sure that falling shingles and nails didn’t end up on the ground, the deck, or in the flowerbeds. ” One of the skylights In our master bathroom and also the air fan vent in our laundry room were leaking. Star Roofing gave us a very fair estimate to replace the plastic air vent housing with a metal housing, replace flashing around the new housing and roofing material as needed. On the skylight the estimate included replace flashing, felt inside skylight, lay down plastic moisture barrier and replace roofing material and seal as needed. Randy, the repair technician, did a very throughal repair and went over and above on the repair on the laundry room air vent. The original flexible tubing to the vent housing was too short and was disconnected from the old plastic vent housing. Randy modified some flashing metal material to make a metal tube in order to connect the flex hose to the new metal air vent housing and then securely fastened them together. I watched Randy during some of the repair work and he was very consciensious in doing a good, quality job. Both Randy and Dave, the estimator, were very informative and helpful. Would definitally recommend Starr Roofing for roof repair and ask for Randy Walden. I was given one estimate from another company that took an easy shortcut method to maybe repair the skylight at almost the same price. Couple of Roofing Repair companies would only give a minimum charge to repair the leak so you really did not know the final cost and the method of repair. Star Roofing performed the repair to skylight and air fan vent as communicated. Very complete and so far it has fixed the problem.”

”They were fabulous. They quoted us an appropriate amount. They did really good work. They worked with our contractors on the back end for them to finish up stuff. Then the roofing guys came back out and did the flash and did all the fancy business to finish things up. They were really good. We were fairly happy and they came right at their quote as well. It may have been few hundred bucks cheaper. They did a good job for us. I am from the construction background and I can see the level of work they did and it was quality work. They took three days to do the flat roof then they had a couple of days off while our framers were back on some stuff. Then they came back out and finished things up in short order. They left everything in a good state. They generally did a very good job. Their professionalism was outstanding. They did not leave a mess. They were quick and efficient. They were more than happy to work with other professionals who were doing associated work. Price wise they came on quote or a little bit under. We had three other quotes and they had the best quote of the lot. Given that they did a fabulous job. As for responsiveness they co-ordinated well with our framers to get some stuff done. They were very professional. Out of curiosity I had questions for them and they answered them without being put off. Some people are grumpy if you talk to them while they are working. There was one guy who was doing relatively a small job but he was really good. I will indeed use them in the future.”
